Garden State Parkway Exit 105 Monthly Update: 07/08/22
The message below contains important project updates for the GSP Interchange 105 Improvement Project and will be posted on a monthly basis through the end of 2023. FOUR WEEK SCHEDULE AS OF July 08, 2022:
Work Area C – Str. 106.4I & Str. 106.4NO – Ramp E3, South Bound Inner Lanes Exit
- During the week of July 11, 2022, crews will begin on Str. 106.4I installing reinforcement steel at the piers and abutment.
- During the week of July 18, 2022, crews will begin to installation of form work for the new bearing pedestals.
- Concrete placement for the new pier caps is scheduled to begin the last week of July.
Work Area D – Str. 106.5NO – Ramp E7, North Bound Inner Entrance
- During the week of July 18, 2022, crews will begin on Str. 106.5NO installing reinforcement steel at the piers and abutment.
- During the week of July 25, 2022, crews will begin to installation of form work for the new bearing pedestals.
Work Area B – Str. 106.4I & Str. 106.4NO – Ramp E2, South Bound Outer Lanes Exit
- Work in this area is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2022.
Work Area A – Str. 106.3I, Str. 106.4NO and Str. 106.4A – Ramp E1, South Bound Entrance
- Work in this area is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2022.
North Bound Entrance, Ramp E4
- On July 5, 2022, a sinkhole was found in the North Bound Entrance Ramp. The cause of the sinkhole was not related to current construction activities. The sinkhole was filled in and a new drainage pipe was installed in this location.
